Biographical Info

Aylesbury Garden Town’s Let Get Growing has been set up in response to the COVID-19 crisis to create a community platform for anyone in the town who is interested in growing their own fruit and vegetables.

Their aim is to encourage you to get growing in your green space and to share with you some resources to help you get started if you’re completely new to this and to share. If you already have some experience we will be sharing tips to deal with some of the challenges along the way. If you are a more accomplished ‘grower’, maybe you even have your own allotment, do join in and share your expertise.

When Aylesbury received Garden Town status in 2017, one of the key ambitions was to make the town more sustainable and growing your own food is one very simple way to help achieve that.  They have already launched two Community Food Growing projects, in Quarrendon and at the Healthy Living Centre at Walton Court in partnership with the Community Grow project.
